Trade unions and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)

The ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ILO-ACTRAV) has, through a dedicated programme, supported the effective participation of trade unions in climate change debates to promote and implement a just transition for workers through Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). The NDCs are national commitments to reduce emissions and adapt to climate change, submitted by Parties to the Paris Climate Agreement every five years. This guide aims to support trade unions in influencing the NDCs.
